Pugin and Gothic Revival
Augustus Pugin was the person that he was the leader figure of the Gothic Style. He became important in the nineteenth century where he gradually replaced the classical styles in popularity. We also can see that the Arts and Crafts movement has the Gothic Revival where this page gives us the brief of the guide of the Gothic style and its influences. The two great rules for design the Pugin defines are the real nature of Gothic where it became the most important influence in the Art and Crafts movement. The principles were that there should be no features about the buildings which they were not convenience and construction or propriety. The other principle was that all the ornaments should consist of essential construction of the building. He used to make  the designs  of the buildings he also designed  furniture and  from  all the architectural practice  he also  started designing and produced stained glass, metalwork, textiles and also jewellery. The Gothic revival that was followed  by Pugin then William Burges and George Edward Street carried out to the  new approach of the  furniture designs and  also taken the responsibility for designing the buildings and its initial fittings  and  furnishing.
