My
opinion
I choose this work
from all the exhibition because I find it interesting how color full the
painting is and also how the artist made the form of the face in the painting.
We can see a lot
of formal elements
such at the lines
where most of them are going
in the same direction and
they are straight.

This painting is made
by Alfred Chircop where I chose to
talk about it because
It made with an interesting texture also
I like the colors how they combined together. It also has been made
by using other materials in this painting such as maybe be sand also it looks like there is a
piece of wood stuck on the canvas where these things give the interest on this abstract colorful painting. As formal elements we can
see a lot the shapes there are a lot of shapes that are like circle but also
we can see the contrast of the
colors and also the lines how some lines
are straight but some of them looks
more as coming into curves lines.
The texture on this painting looks
rough because of it looks
that there is the sand so it
shows you that it
looks rough.
This is another one of
the works that I liked during the exhibition visit that I went in Valletta.

In my
opinion
The artist looks that he used a different tool instead of paint brush it
looks that the artist used the pallet knife to make the orange lines. I noticed
that because of how the strokes are given. As formal elements we can see a lot
the lines which some of them are straight and also looks flat but also looks
thick. As color it looks that they match and have a nice contrast to each other
and we can also see some rough texture where there are the strokes that are
made with the pallet knife.

In my
opinion
I choose this painting because it has an interesting thing in the
painting. If we see deeply in this painting we see a figure of a woman we only
see the head of the woman. Which I also
have the close up of the part I liked most in this painting. The artist used a
lot of colors in this painting which makes the painting interesting. We also
can see the contrast and also the thinking of how the artist matched the
colors. As formal elements we can see a lot the lines which there are some
lines that are straight but also some lines that are not completed. The texture
also gives the interest in the painting. We can see that there are some rough texture
which is done by the paint itself.

In my opinion
This painting inspired
me because the artist didn’t focus only on the colorful paintings but he also
focused on the black and white colors but he also added some brownish color and
the painting came more interesting and nicer.
As the texture it looks rough where there is the white paint but we also
can see the smooth part where there is the brown paint. As the lines we can see
that there are straight lines which some of them are solid black and also we
can see that there are lines that are not completed and some of the lines are
also dotted.
