Exhibition I visited- Mural Exhibition

This is an exhibition that was displayed at Valletta St James Cavallier is done by the students from different schools the names of the schools are: St Aloysius College, St Benedict College Boys Secondary School, St Edward’s College, St George Preca Collage Girls Junior Lyceum, St Magaret College Boys Secondary School, Maria Regina College Girls Secondary School, Stella Maris College.

In my opinion

I choose this work because it is a very good painting which have to do with the music where we can see the piano which represents the music title. The colour is also unusual because it is all based on blue and there aren't a lot of mixed colours  We also can see the formal elements which there are the contrasting between the black and also white. The lines are straight but still we can see the shape of triangle which helps you see the faces. It is based also on the type of graffiti which it is a different type of art but still it is interesting.

In my opinion

This work inspired me because we can see the theme in the mural painting which it is about the landscape diversity. So we can see the trees and also volcano and mountains which helps you realize the topic better. We can also see the colour the students used which is green where we know that the trees and some natural things are based more on green. We also can see the straight lines that the building has and we also can see a lot the shapes where there are several of shapes such as the triangle also squares and rectangles. We also can see some shapes that are like cylinder and cube also cone. This mural painting also looks like it is graffiti.

In my opinion

I choose to talk about this mural painting because it has interesting features such as the scull also the dancer and the masks which they are very explain as the title Diversity in the performing arts. We also can see that there is also like a theater and that makes sense for the topic that these students had. Also as formal elements we can see the contrast and also we can say the shades between different types of red. It is also in the type of graffiti art. As the lines we can see that they help you see the figure  of the person also  there are shapes which it helps you as well  we also  can see some  shapes  that are circle on the bottom of the mural and also the triangular shape  is seen where there is the dancer.

Title of work: Diversity in Sports

In my opinion

As we can see the students kept the concept of the diversity in sports were they made two figures making sports also we can see the floor piece where you throw the bowling ball. We also can see that the figures aren't that in detail also it looks like they are made of wood the figures. We also can see that the students based more on the brownish or orange colour. We also  can see  in this  mural  painting that there are figures that  are making  sports  but also the people  that  are seeing them  doing sport  and one of them is waving. As the formal element we can see the shapes a circle shape on the ball also we can see the triangle shape on the figures and also some rectangle shape on the floor. As  in the lines  we can see that there are some straight  lines  but also  some  of the  lines  are  curves.

In my opinion

I choose to talk  about this work that the students  made  because  it have an  interesting detailed  creatures. We also can see that the basic colour is green. As we know the octopus isn't green but the students decided to make it green.as we can also notice the sea creators aren't in the see because we can see the fields behind. It is also with the style of graffiti.  We can see the texture on the octopus which  it looks that  it is  rough also  we can see the texture  on the  turtle  that  also  looks  that  the  turtle have rough texture. We can see some shapes as well as the shape of triangle on the fish and also some round shapes on the building we can see in the fields. We can see a  solid  line  that  shows  us  the passage  which  it  is  more as a curved  line.
